Simpac Europe GmbH founded
Bodnegg, 2017/03/01 - The South Korean press manufacturer Simpac recently founded a subsidiary in southern Germany, Simpac Europe GmbH. At the Bodnegg site, the team headed by Managing Director Bernd Moritz mainly deals with the development, construction, sales and marketing of presses for the metalworking industry.
Founded in 1973 in Seoul, press manufacturer Simpac Inc. is now part of the Simpac Group that, under the umbrella of Simpac Holding, unites companies for the manufacturing of ferroalloys, industrial machinery and foundries. Today, the Press Division holds nearly 50% of the market share in the South Korean domestic market. Since 2004, the company has pursued a consistent internationalization strategy and has already established eight branches in Asia, Europe, USA and México.
"The presses, which are completely manufactured in the Group's South Korean plants, benefit not only from high added value within the Group, but also from continuous improvements through insights from global markets," explains Bernd Moritz, who, in addition to his role as Managing Director in Germany, also serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in the Simpac headquarters in South Korea.
The core task of Simpac Europe GmbH is not only direct market support, but also the development and expansion of a comprehensive service network for Simpac customers from various branches in the metalworking industry: car manufacturers and their suppliers, manufacturers of household appliances and household goods, companies in the furniture and electronics industry as well as companies in the aerospace industry.
The first results of the new German-Korean cooperation are announced for the industry's leading trade fair, the Euroblech in Hanover from 23 to 26 October 2018.
